This trail introduces you to basic Algonquin Park ecology such as a lake, bog, and different elevations. There is a gradual climb with steep sections that lead up to a beautiful lookout then wind down through a lovely hemlock stand and a pine forest. You’ll also visit Bat Lake which is an acidic lake.
There are many interesting rock formations especially in the winter with rock outcroppings covered in ice and frozen waterfalls.
Dogs are allowed on this trail but must be kept leashed.
